DOAN PRESENTS : INVASION FRANÇAISE IN MONTREAL !

The emergent alternative metal band DOAN is going to hit the Montreal music scene presenting their first album "Stupidity Kills". On this show where progressive rock, alternative metal, stoner rock and industrial metal meet, they have the honor to host, for the first time in Quebec, two bands from the south of France, Porno Graphic Messiah and Blackburst, and the French guitar maker CHAMB. The opening band of the night will be Universal Minds from Lévis. 

DOAN (Alternative Metal – Montreal, Quebec) Formed of Diane Thibault at vocals, Olivier Roy on the drums, André Labrecque on bass and Nicholas Roy on guitar, they first established in 2011 as a cover band bearing the name Ghettoblaster. They changed their name in 2017 to dedicate themselves more seriously to their own compositions. Heavy and incisive to sweet and melodious, the band’s music is the result of a collaborative effort influence by the music of bands like Tool, Alice In Chains, Mastodon, A Perfect Circle, Deftones, Godsmack and many others. To the question "What is it you’d like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time? " they respond: "We want them to remember the emotions it brings to them, that’s what music is all about, isn’t it?" 

Porno Graphic Messiah (Industrial Metal – Nice, Monaco and Cannes, France) They made their name in the French Industrial Metal scene. The combo from the French Riviera don’t leave anyone indifferent with their sleek visual show and their music influences of New Wave, Goth, Electro, Groovy and of course metal! Since 2006, Porno Graphic Messiah roamed the scenes of France in support of their videos and albums releases. In 2018, the band signed a deal with Konklav Records. 

Blackburst (Super Stoner - Grenoble, Voiron France) After a multitude of shows, Blackburst is seducing the crowds more and more! There’s a studio album into work, upcoming video project and tour dates in Canada and USA! 

Universal Minds (Instrumental Progressive Rock - Lévis – Quebec) is an experimental instrumental progressive rock band with a touch of metal. Found in 2017 as a one-man band by Sim Diamond (ex Upon Your Grave lead guitarist) the band did four shows with live members in Quebec et Lévis. 2018 is a bigger year with their first album due this spring and many shows in support! 

CHAMB guitars (Guitar maker - Marseille FR) The maker of crazy guitars will be there to show his guitars and his nonstandard creative talent.

Le groupe émergeant métal alternatif DOAN fera sa rentrée montréalaise afin de présenter leur premier album "Stupidity Kills". Lors de ce spectacle où le rock progressif, le métal alternatif, le stoner rock et le métal industriel croiseront le fer, ils auront l’honneur de recevoir pour la première fois au Québec deux groupes du sud de la France, Porno Graphic Messiah et Blackburst, ainsi que le luthier Français CHAMB. Le groupe de Lévis Universal Minds ouvrira le spectacle. 

DOAN (Métal Alternatif – Montréal, Québec) est formé de Diane Thibault à la voix, Olivier Roy à la batterie, André Labrecque à la basse et Nicholas Roy à la guitare. Porno Graphic Messiah (Métal Industriel - Nice Monaco et Cannes, France) s'est fait un nom dans le Métal Industriel Français. Le combo de la French Riviera ne laisse pas indifférent tant au niveau du show visuel soigné que de la musique avec des influences New Wave, Goth, Electro, Groovy et bien entendu métal ! Depuis 2006, Porno Graphic Messiah parcourt les scènes de France pour défendre ses différentes sorties de Clips et Albums. En 2018, le groupe signe chez Konklav Records 

Blackburst (Super Stoner - Grenoble, Voiron FR) Après une multitude de concerts, Blackburst séduit de plus en plus les foules ! Un projet d'enregistrement d'Album Studio en cours, des projets de Clips à venir et déjà des dates au Canada et Etats Unis ! 

Universal Minds (Rock Progressif instrumental - Lévis – Québec) est un groupe expérimental de rock progressif instrumental doté d'une touche de métal. Fondé en 2017 en tant que "one-man band" par Sim Diamond, anciennement lead guitariste de Upon Your Grave, le groupe s'est produit 4 fois sur scène à l'aide de "live members" à Québec et Lévis. 2018 est une plus grande année encore puisque le premier album sort au printemps et plusieurs spectacles suivront ! 

CHAMB guitars (Luthier - Marseille FR) Le Luthier aux guitares complétement barrées sera présent pour vous exposer ses Guitares et son talent de créateur hors norme !

Kylyk from North Bay and Iliad from Ottawa will complete the lineup.

First off, we will be playing on the semi finals of the Emergenze festival on the friday february 9th!!! There will be 8 bands in competition. Come to support us, we need you guys because it's the crowds vote that will give the chance to two bands to go into the regionals finals!!! Contact us to get your tickets! Share this PLEASE!

Secondly, we're more than happy to announce that wi will play three shows with the French bands Porno Graphic Messiah, Blackburst and Hampered on there north american tour! May 17th in Montreal and May 19th in Ottawa!!! Check out the Tour section for all the details.

Thirdly, the CD version of our album "Stupidity Kills" and the DOAN toques are now available at our gigs! Come see us to get some!!!
